What is "5-Free"

You may be wondering what the term "5-Free" means! Just like "3-Free" or "4-Free", 5-Free nail polishes are made with safer ingredients than most store bought brands. The "Big-3" toxic ingredients found in nail polish are: formaldehyde, toluene, and dibutyl phthalate (DBP). "5-Free" nail polishes go an extra step and are also free of three additional toxins: formaldehyde-resin, camphor, and carmine. All of these toxins have been known to cause birth defects at prolonged exposure and formaldehyde is a cancer-causing carcinogen.

Luckily, some large brands are making the switch over to healthier nail polish ingredients that indie polish makers have been using for years. All Super Nails polishes are 5-FREE, vegan, and cruelty free.

My company's mission statement

Super Nails honors the need to preserve our environment, animals and ourselves with safer cosmetic quality nail products. Founded in 2013 on the shores of Lake Michigan, I recognized the need for safer nail polish with 5-free standards, for people who are seeking out products that are better for their health, the environment, and our American economy. My goal is to make that as easy and as affordable as possible with the highest standards of product quality and customer service. I want nothing more than for every single customer to have a great experience with my nail polish!

By supporting my company, you are also supporting a brand that does not test on animals.
